The 38th Annual General Meeting of the British Israel Bible Truth
Fellowship was held at Orange Street Congregation Church at 11.45am
on Saturday 12 May 2012, chaired by the President (Dr Michael Bennett).
Andrew Newby opened the meeting in prayer and the Chairman read from Deuteronomy ch. 33 vv 26-29, Joshua ch. 1 vv 1-9 and ch. 4 vv 19-24. The Chairman welcomed everyone to the Annual General Meeting of the British Israel Bible Truth Fellowship and thanked all who attended for travelling to the meeting to support the witness of the work and to hear God’s Word preached.
This is the thirty eighth AGM which is the number of years Israel spent wandering in the wilderness after Kadesh Barnea before inheriting the land God promised to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob (their covenant inheritance). It seems our nation has gone round in circles for the past 38 years as regards our identity and calling! The name Israel was God-given – ‘man ruling with God’ (Genesis ch. 2 v. 38). We would do well to reaffirm our belief that God’s promises stand sure and we will move forward in time in the plan of God. We stand in government with our Lord and take reference from His Word – ‘occupy until I come’. In this year of our Queen’s Diamond Jubilee may God grant us wisdom and grace as we try to live up to those scriptural injunctions in Romans ch. 12 and I Corinthians ch. 14 – let all things be done decently and in order.

Mr Michael Clark giving his talk
The meeting was well attended and the business completed with thanks to all who help in any way with the work of the Fellowship - We are grateful to those who support the Fellowship practically, financially and in prayer. After closing with the customary blessing friends gathered to welcome new faces, peruse the book stall and enjoy fellowship together over a complimentary lunch.
The BIBTF Secretary, Mr Paul Boyd-Lee, chaired the afternoon convention. We were delighted to have Mr Michael Clark, President of the British Israel World Federation as our guest speaker and were pleased that his wife, Philippa, joined him.
Following Michael’s inspiring message a short break was had and hymn singing before the second speaker of the day shared with everyone.
Fellowship, tea and cake with friends
Our President Dr Michael Bennett was the second speaker who provided a fascinating talk. The day’s services concluded with the Aaronic blessing.
Numbers 6: 23-27 ‘… On this wise ye shall bless the children of Israel, saying unto them,
The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace. And they shall put my name upon the children of Israel; and I will bless them.’
The two thought provoking and challenging messages that we were treated to were chatted about by many who stayed on to enjoy sandwiches and cakes at the end of the day. We would like to offer our thanks to everyone who supported the day, invited new faces and encouraged others.
We praise God for our wonderful time of fellowship together.
