With Christmas just around the corner a small group of churches in the village of Hersham in Surrey organised a medley of family entertainment that took place on Saturday 10th December within the heart of the local shopping parade.

The Christmas celebrations began with an hour of carols introduced by the village vicar, sung by local church members, and with musical support from an enthusiastic electronic keyboard player. Shoppers and passers by stopped to listen and enjoy the christian festivities and song sheets were available to all who wished to take part, including some BIBTF members who took the opportunity for some impromptu Christmas carolling!

The sun shone brightly from a clear blue sky and resfreshments such as mulled wine were handed out that helped keep the wintery chill at bay. Impressive handbell ringing by members of the local church led bell ringing organisation continued the Christmas themed celebrations, which appeared to be enjoyed by the vast majority of spectators.

It is a real blessing to be able to take advantage of the Christmas holiday by reaching out and spreading the truth of Jesus' birth through song and celebration that is enjoyed by so many.
